TURN INTO A AN COCKTAIL UNUSED ALCOVE CORNER

-

Get your home party-ready with a dedicated area for making and serving cocktails where your guests can happily help themselves.

■ Choose a spot that’s calling out for a glam glow-up – it could be an alcove, the space above a dresser or sideboard, or even one of the walls in your kitchen.

■ Plan out where you’d like to hang the shelves that will hold your spirits and paraphernalia. Make sure to leave enough space between each one for tall bottles and cocktail shakers. Glass or mirrored shelves will look most effective, but make sure they are strong enough to take the weight of full bottles. ■ Once you’ve hung the first shelf, stick mirrored panels or tiles to the wall beneath it. Do this while you work your way up hanging the shelves to create a large reflective feature wall.

■ Dress your shelves with a selection of spirits, a collection of glasses and some festive and fabulous accessories such as metal straws and cocktail stirrers.
