‘Our kitchen is from York Vale Kitchens, a local company who were able to make it to our specification. The plan was to make the best use of the available space and I think we have done that, as now we spend most of our time in here. I designed the units and layout to suit exactly what we needed. The cabinets are hand-painted so we can change the colour whenever we want. The Carrara marble worktop is a thing of beauty, and as such, it’s the focus of the room.’
