HOT-RED HIGHLIGHTS

Bright splodges of a saturated bright red shade as a colour only (with no pattern) add a bold freshness to the blue and white combo. As red is more eye catching than blue, the lack of pattern guarantees it won’t pull focus too much. Use red in blocks around the room, such as with a single statement armchair or sofa, echoed with a cushion or throw on an adjacent seat, or a small painted vase on a shelf. Don’t over do it though – make sure the balance of colour remains 60% white, 30% blue and 10% red for the scheme to succeed.
