Special fundraising competition for Fintona Mixed Foursome team

THE season has almost drawn to a close but there is a special competition this weekend to raise funds for Plunkett Mcnelis and his mixed foursomes team as they go to Athlone to take part in the All-ireland series.

The main day will be Saturday but those for whom Saturday is unsuitable may play on Friday.

Open to both ladies and gents.

We wish Plunkett and his team all the best in their endeavours.

There is the final day of the club mixed foursomes to come on a date to be arranged. This day is sponsored by DJ Motorsport.

Past Captains and Presidents gathered on Saturday for a nine hole golf competition and meal afterwards.

The golf was won by Hugh Corry with 21 points.

It was an opportunity to meet with the more senior club members who had served their club in either capacity, some of whom no longer play the sport.
