Galaxy made to pay the price for mistakes

Enniskillen Galaxy 2 Castlederg United 3

-

There was injury time heartbreak for Ennsikillen Galaxy on Saturday as they twice led only to finish on the losing side as visitors Castlederg bagged a late, late winner.

The home side had made the perfect start to the game as they took the lead with less than two minutes on the clock as Robbie Regan fired home from a corner to make it 1-0.

And they had the chance to extend their lead through Michael Dooris but he fired wide of the target.

Castlederg though were back on level terms as Torigh Nicholas slotted home the equaliser to leave it all square at the interval.

Galaxy though edged back ahead early in the second half as Barry Mcintyre tapped home after the ball was parried into his path.

The home side then pressed for a third but Mcintyre had an effort that rolled past the post and soon after Castlederg were level as Jamie Finlay capitalised on an error at the back by the home side to make it 2-2.

And Castlederg returned home with all three points as they made Galaxy pay for another mistake in added on time as Nicholas tucked away his second of the day.
