Fermanagh man accused of ramming three police cars with a tractor
A MAN charged with the attempted murder of two policemen has been remanded in custody.
Matthew Nolan (25), of Tattenabuddagh Lane, Fivemiletown, appeared via video link at Enniskillen Magistrates Court on Monday in relation to an incident on September 23 when three police cars were rammed by a tractor.
As well as the attempted murder charges, Nolan face three counts of criminal damage, and a single threat to kill charge.
Nolan is also charged with a number of driving offences including having no insurance, driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs at Main Street, Fivemiletown, driving whilst disqualified, having no insurance, failing to stop, remain and report an accident, as well as dangerous driving within the vicinity of Cooneen
Road, Fivemiletown.
The defendant only spoke to say he understood the charges against him.
A police officer told the court they could connect the accused to the charges.
With no bail application brought by Nolan’s barrister, he was remanded in Maghaberry prison until the case is heard again on October 24.
