Appeal for witnesses as tractor and digger stolen in separate incidents
POLICE are appealing for witnesses following two large machinery thefts in the south of the county at the weekend.
In the first incident, a JCB telehandler was stolen in
Lisnaskea. The theft occurred at some point over the weekend from the Beechwood Housing Development in Lisnaskea.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police in the Lisnaskea area are appealing for witnesses following the theft of a yellow JCB telehandler 535-120.
“The vehicle has been stolen some time between 5pm on Friday, September 23 and 8:45am on Monday, September 26.
“If you have any information which can assist the investigation or noticed any suspicious activity in the area during this timeframe, please contact 101 and quote incident number 451 of 26/09/22, or anonymously via Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.”
The second incident concerns the theft of a tractor from a farm in the Teemore area. A PSNI spokesperson said: “A Massey Ferguson 6290 with loader and a green bale spike was stolen some time between 11pm on Saturday, September 24 and 6am on Sunday, September 25.
“Anyone who may have seen this tractor on the road during this time, or if you have any information as to its whereabouts, please get in contact via 101 quoting reference 982 27/09/22, or alternatively anonymously via Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.”
The PSNI have said that the incidents are not connected.
