Walker seals win to secure the Inniskilling Trophy

-

A GROUP of ex-servicemen that served in the 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards recently held a golf competition at Enniskillen Golf Club.

The regiment has a historical connection to the town going back more than 300 years, and had the freedom of the Borough of Enniskillen bestowed upon it in 1953.

Many of those who competed on the day hail from the town and surrounding area as well as others from across the province and the rest of the UK.

The competition was won by Norman Walker and he was presented the beautiful Inniskilling Trophy by guest of honour, Colonel (retd.) Richard Kinsella Bevan. The trophy is a grand silver Inniskilling Dragoon on horseback and it will be loaned annually by the Royal Dragoon Guards Museum.
