Icing on the cake for Joe as he produces an excellent round to claim victory on countback
JOE Woods was the top of the tree this week as he was victorious in the JT Ryan sponsored competition at Castle Hume.
The 18-handicap Castle Hume star has been in solid form all season and this performance was the icing on the cake as he recorded one of his best rounds, with a 42 point total.
In runner-up spot – and just missing out on countback – was 12-handicap golfer Gerard Flynn, also with 42 points.
The current Captain has also had a great golfing year so far and he followed up some recent excellent performances with this well-deserved runner-up spot.
Completing the podium with a score of 40 points was Martin Carney, with a score of 40 points.
In the Gross category, low man Danny Daly recorded another superb score of 35, which sees the plus handicap golfer continue his dominance. Congratulations to all the winners this week at Castle Hume.
The competitions continue this week with the Lough Erne Resort sponsoring a Stableford format event.
