Enniskillen Club to run penultimate round of series

-

THIS Saturday sees the penultimate round of the 2022 USBK series, taking place at Bishopscourt under the auspices of the Enniskillen & District MCC.

The packed entry list includes Alaistair Seeley, Eunan Mcglinchy, Gary Mccoy, Adam Mclean and Ryan Gibson. Two riders absent from the local scene this year are making a return this Saturday, Superbike rider Aaron Armstrong and Supersport 600 rider Korie Mcgreevey.

With the cancellation of the David

Wood Memorial meeting, Alistair Seeley is now assured of the Supersport 600 title but still needs a top six finish to secure the Superbike championship; Seeley leads Jason Lynn by 88 points.

Banbridge rider Ryan Gibson holds a 97-point lead over Kris Duncan in the supertwin’s championship, where late starter this season, Eunan Mcglinchy occupies the fourth spot.

British Talent Cup contender Alexander Rowan holds an 18-point advantage over Moto One champion

Ruben Boyd, who, in turn, has a 14-point advantage over newcomer Jack Burrows.

In the Pre Injection 600 class, Steven Love holds a slender one-point lead over Paul Demaine, with Ian Mcgarrigle holding a 30-point advantage over Matt Burns in the Pre Injection 1000 class.

The closest championship going into this race is the 500 Classic championship, where Andy Mcalister, having his first season in classic racing, is the joint leader with David Mcvicker; both these riders hold a slender advantage of 10 points over Joint second place riders, Lewis Mcclements and Pat Murray.

Alex Conroy leads the 1000 class by 41 points from returnee Phil Lunney, whilst Brian Mateer has a 39-point lead over Philip Shaw in the 250 class.

Nicky Lamb will be looking for a good finish in the 350 class, as he holds an 85-point advantage over Mark Johnson. Still, a lot to play for this Saturday.

Titled ‘Enniskillen 100 Revival on Tour’, this meeting will take place at

Bishopscourt, not St Angeleo as they have previously run their meetings. Spectator Info, Gates open at 8am Saturday, qualifying from 9 am (approx.), Racing from 11.30 am, Camper/overnight stay available for Friday.
