Triple bill of spoken word and poetry events
THE Fermanagh Live Arts Festival (Flive) is presenting a triple bill of spoken word events at Pat’s Bar this Saturday (October 8).
At 3pm, acclaimed Leitrim poet Stephen Murphy will perform ‘A Misty Morning on a Fermanagh Farm’.
Stephen’s performance will be followed by the All Ulster Poetry Slam final which will kick off at 5pm. Hosted by Radio Foyle’s resident poet and wordsmith, Frank Rafferty, slam poets from Donegal to Down will compete in the event and have three rounds of three minutes each to perform and impress the judges in their bid to become All Ulster Champion.
The programme of spoken word events will conclude with the Flive Open Mic in partnership with The Thing Itself and co-hosted by Stephen Murphy and Fermanagh Poet, Kate O’shea.
Whether you’re purely into poetry, mainly into music, cutting-edge comedy or strictly storytelling, stand up, take the mic and do your thing in front of an appreciative audience.
Register from 6.30 pm to 7.15pm – slots will be approximately 10 minutes, adjusted to accommodate the number of performers. Tickets can be bought at the door and the event will start at 7pm.
Flive would like to thank Modern Tyres for their generous sponsorship of this event and Pat’s Bar as the venue sponsor as well as our overall sponsors
Arts Council of Northern Ireland Fermanagh and Omagh District Council and Enniskillen Business Improvement District.
