THE ‘Fermanagh Stars’ multibreed calf show and sale organised by Fermanagh Pedigree Livestock Breeders Group Ltd. promises to be a day to remember for all those interested in top quality pedigree and commercial cattle.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 19 in the Exhibition Hall at the Ulster Farmers’ Mart, Enniskillen, with judging at 10am followed by the sale at approximately 2.30pm.

With an expected entry of close to 100 of Fermanagh’s finest livestock competing for a prize fund of £4,000, this promises to be an important event for livestock farmers.

The schedule contains 19 classes for continental, native and commercial cattle, born from June 1 2021 onwards.

With entries in the pedigree section for both continental and native cattle confined to Fermanagh Pedigree Livestock Breeders group members, the commercial section is open to all Fermanagh farmers, with the stipulation that all entries must be homebred.

On the day, two judging rings will be in operation with the continental and native breed classes being judging simultaneously followed by the commercial classes and then the three championships.

There are three classes for commercial cattle and breeding heifers confined to all Fermanagh farmers: Class 17: Commercial Male born on or after 1st January 2022; Class 18: Commercial Heifer born on or after 1st January 2022(Entries in classes 17 and 18 to be halter led); Class 19: Breeding Heifer born before 31st December 2021 (Judged in the pens).

For further details and entry forms for the commercial and breeding heifer section, contact Gareth Wilson on 07784896765 asap, as entries close shortly.

The committee of the Fermanagh Pedigree Livestock Breeders group would like to thank all the sponsors for their generosity towards the event and also the Ulster Farmers Mart for kindly granting the use of their premises to host the show and sale.
