Impressive Karen makes it three in a row by winning the Sinead Rice Memorial Cup

WE are happy to report that the three in a row was achieved by Karen Bull.

Karen had been a winner on the previous two weekly competitions in the PGA Slieve Russell and at the Sinead Rice Memorial Cup outing on Friday September 23 at Glasson Lakehouse she added another to her record.

She won the Cup in 2021 and defended her title in 2022, congratulations Karen.

In second place Catriona Cunningham fell short by one point.

Other ladies to feature were Paula O’hara, Kathy Durkan, Geraldine Smith, Martina Gorby and Grainne Thurston, it was like Christmas morning, everyone got something.

A big thank you to all the ladies that made the effort to attend, remember and honour, a much thought of deceased member, Sinead Rice RIP.

The 18-hole weekly Stapleford comps continue until October 29 and dare we mention the word Christmas, but the Hamper competition takes place on November 5, with all outstanding prizes being presented on that day.

Annual Captains’ Dinner

The annual Captains’ Dinner to honour Captain Denis Parker and Lady Captain Eileen Mcdonald will be held on Saturday November 12 at 8pm in the clubhouse. Tickets €25.00

The Vice President’s Cup was won by Shane Mcnaughton (6) with a net 66, 2nd Kevin Barry Mccusker (6) with 67 net and the Gerry Brady (5) with 78. The seniors prize went to Niall Wrafter (15) with a net 70
