Shoot-out joy for Rovers as they secure U11 Cup

Lisnaskea Rovers 0 Tummery Athletic 0 Lisnaskea won 4-1 on pens

Lisnaskea Rovers clinched the BKYL U11 Cup with a penalty shoot out victory over Tummery Athletic at Youth Sport Omagh last Friday night.

Played in difficult conditions, this was a tightly contested final in which both defences were on top.

Tummery had started the brighter of the sides but Rovers then settled and they got in behind the Athletic defence on three occasions in quick succession but they failed to capitalise on this.

The game then became a real battle with neither side giving their opponents much space to operate in and there was little in the way of clear cut scoring chances at either end.

This continued throughout extra time and it was then left to the dreaded penalty shoot out to decide the destination of the cup.

And it was Rovers who were to come out on top as captain Dara Mcmahon, Olly He, Danny Mcdonald and Tommey Mccaffrey all converted to seal the win.
