Historical talk on history of Erne cots

THE next talk for Lisnaskea Historical Society will be on Monday, October 17 at 8pm in The Studio of the Castle Park Centre, Lisnaskea.

Liam Boyle and Helen Wilson, local experts in the subject of the racing and building of cots, will be giving the talk ‘Historic Use of the Lough Erne Cot and the Building of One’.

All around Lough Erne the cot has been used for any and every type of journey over the water and this talk will bring back fond memories in so many families around here.

Designed with a sloping fore and aft the cot is ideal for landing on the shores of our lovely lough. All welcome.
