Enniskillen welcome for 140 jobs

-

THE Secretary of State, Sir Patrick Mayhew, has welcomed the announcement of 140 new jobs by British Telecom at Enniskillen.

Welcoming the project, Sir Patrick said: “This investment, the latest in a series by BT, is further demonstration of the company’s commitment to Northern Ireland – a commitment based on sound commercial grounds.

“That the project is being located here is also a tribute to the advanced nature of the telecommunications sector in Northern Ireland, to which the STAR initiative has made such a significant contribution.”

The investment will enable the company to set up a London Customer Service Centre at Enniskillen, one of eight such units being established throughout the UK to provide help desk services for millions of BT customers in London.
