TAMLAGHT

AGM - September

President Iris welcomed everyone back after their summer break especially the Area President Rhoda Farrelly who had come along to chair the meeting and also Hilda Lucy and Margaret Porter, tellers.

They also had another very special guest with us on the evening, Mrs Ann Mcguckin who had come along on behalf of the Oldcroft Family to present a cup and voucher to the WI in memory of their mother Olive, who was a most loyal and faithful member of Tamlaght WI for many years.

Olive was not one to be found wanting if something needed to be done let that be baking, cooking or cleaning. Olive was always ready and willing, even if one could not see her, you could hear her laugh. Iris accepted the cup and voucher on behalf of the WI who said the cup would be used for best attendance over the year as Olive very rarely ever missed a meeting.

To Ann, David, Brian and Andrew, Tamlaght WI expressed their heartfelt thanks for their kind thoughts and generous gifts .

Iris handed the meeting over to Rhoda who declared all offices vacant and read the WI rules, voting took place and Iris was re-elected president who then thanked Rhoda, Hilda and Margaret for giving up of their time to be with them. Supper was served by Ruth and Iris .
