Smyth and Bogue shortlisted for Players’ Player of the Year award
TWO Fermanagh players are among the three players who have been shortlisted for the TG4 Ladies Junior Players’ Player of the Year award.
Star forwards Blaithin Bogue and Eimear Smyth have both been nominated after they played starring roles in Fermanagh’s run to the All Ireland Junior Final.
That final went to a replay as Antrim eventually saw off the Erne side at the Athletic
Grounds in Armagh.
Antrim attacker Cathy Carey is the other player nominated for the award.
Carey was Player of the Match in the replay victory over Fermanagh on August 13.
Smyth was also named as TG4 Junior Players’ Player of the Year in successive years in 2019 and 2020.
The nominees in all three categories have all been selected by their fellow players, who could not vote for their own team-mates.
