Brewster Park to undergo pitch inspection on Saturday ahead of Sunday’s re-fixture

WORK is ongoing at Brewster Park this week to improve the drainage with all efforts going in to try and ensure that the pitch is playable for the SFC Final on Sunday.

Heavy rain early Sunday afternoon left the pitch unplayable that afternoon but it is hoped that it will be playable this Sunday.

However, there will be a pitch inspection on Saturday and a call will be made on an alternative venue if the pitch remains unplayable.

A Fermanagh GAA spokesperson commented: “A pitch inspection will be held on Saturday and an alternative venue will be identified for the same timeslot if Brewster Park remains unplayable.

“If Brewster Park is deemed playable, the alternative venue will still remain on standby in case it is required.
