Mallard’s Corry named in NI Victory Shield squad
BALLINAMALLARD Academy U-16 player Sean Corry has been selected to represent Northern Ireland at the prestigious Victory Shield tournament.
The U-16 tournament takes place from Sunday, October 30 to Friday, November 4, in Waterford, with matches against the Republic of Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Northern Ireland have only won the tournament twice – in 2000/01 and 2018/19 – and previous Ballinamallard representatives include (but are not limited to) Robert Mccauley, Ciaran Mckenna, Chris Snow, Kalem Mcloughlin, Ryan Smyth, Chris Curran, Ciaran Smith, Dean Corrigan, John Edgar, Niall Owens, Matthew Smyth and Michael Glynn.
