Super 36 points seals the victory for Garvan

THE Stewarts Butchers sponsored Winter Series resumed after a couple of weather-affected weeks.

Garvan Mcgurn delivered one of his most consistent rounds as he scored a superb 36 points. The 20 handicap golfer made light of the testing conditions and reaped the benefits of a very sharp shortgame performance.

In runner-up spot with another great score was Martin Carney. The 33 points recorded took the Castle

Hume star onto the podium with a memorable performance.

Completing the top three was Ryan Corrigan, with 31 points.

In the Gross category, Mark Mcconkey continued to show his class as he recorded a score of 28 points.

Weather permitting, the Stewarts Butchers Winter Series will continue this week with the competition being played over the shortened Castle Hume Course.
