Celebrating 10 years of the Kinawley Community Centre with mini festival
TO MARK the 10th anniversary of the opening of Kinawley Community Centre, a variety of celebratory events will take place over the weekend of November 25 to 27.
The mini festival is organised by Kinawley Community Hall Association, and will take place at the community centre.
The weekend of festivities will start on Friday, November 25 with an event hosted by local schools of the area including Florencecourt Primary School, St. Mary’s Primary School,
Killesher and St. Náiles Primary School, Kinawley, where they will come together to put on a joint production. They will also be supported by local churches.
On the Saturday night at 8pm, (November 26), ‘The Late Late Show – Kinawley Style’ will be sure to entertain and inspire with special guests Susan Mccann, who is highly regarded as ‘the First Lady of Country music’; Denzil Mcdaniel, former editor of The Impartial Reporter, and columnist; and Fr. Brian D’arcy,
Passionist priest.
There will be more guests on the night but they have yet to be revealed.
The Late Late Show – Kinawley Style will be presented by Tommy Moran from Ballinamore.
The weekend will come to a close with a great line-up of events on Sunday, November 27.
Country music star Mick Flavin will get everyone up on their feet dancing as he takes to the stage on Sunday at 3pm. He will be supported by a range of guests on what is sure to be an entertaining afternoon.
At 9pm, Brendan Magee and
Eugene Cleary will end the mini festival on a high with a fun night of social dancing.
