FIVEMILETOWN mum-oftwo Natalie Holme had a relaxing Mother’s Day weekend after she was announced as the winner of The Impartial Reporter’s Mother’s Day competition. She was surprised when she received a phone call to tell her that she was the winner of the competition and would be treated to a whole host of prices including a meal for two from Macnean House & Restaurant in Blacklion, Co. Cavan; a luxurious spa treatment at the Killyhevlin Hotel; a £100 voucher for Ladies’ Fashion at S.D. Kells; a voucher for Eden Hair; a hamper from The Natural Beauty Pot and a stunning bouquet of flowers from Flowersbyruthhood.

Relaxing at home, Natalie enjoys the smell of the fresh flowers as she walks in her door following a day’s work at Fivemiletown Primary School as a Classroom Assistant.

She was entered into the competition by her son Ollie (9) with the help of his younger brother Louis (5) and his grandmother, Noreen Montgomery who gently encouraged the entry.

“Technically my mum entered me,” she explained with a laugh.

“The boys filled out the slip, but they were heavily influenced by mum. They had mentioned that they entered me but it was a surprise.”

Several people were entered into the competition multiple times but Natalie was only entered once: “Mum and Dad buy the paper every week so it was entered from that”, she explained.

Natalie will look forward to using her prizes and said she has had plenty of offers from interested guests to join her in Macnean House in Blacklion, the prize she is most looking forward to using.

Despite the two boys landing a very special present for their mum, they still treated her to a few other presents on Mother’s Day including a bottle of perfume; an essential oil diffuser and a very special hand-painted flowerpot which was crafted in school.

The family joined with their extended family to have a special Mother’s Day carvery at the Valley Hotel, Fivemiletown where they got the chance to catch up and unwind.
