IMPERIUM

Can you hear the sands calling?

- Until next time. Karl

Why is the weather taking so long to liven up? Even though it’s still only February, it would be great to see some sunshine. The timing couldn’t be better as we are supporting the Dubai International Boat Show this year, which promises to be bigger and better than ever. I need to get away, and I can hear the sands of Dubai calling.

It took some time to put this edition of IMPERIUM together, but I promise you it was well worth the delay. It features some amazing stories and pictures that should pass the time while it’s still cold outside. We showcase a Dior show as well as a number of watches from manufacturers like Porsche and Vacheron Constantin. In the same section, Hatfield & Co. displays some of their stunning lights, and Kerry McKenzie of Brand McKenzie offers her perspective on the wallpaper industry.

Within the AIR LAND SEA section, we take a look at The Great White yacht, owned by tennis legend Rafael Nadal and constructed by Sunreef Yachts. I also talk to Chef Giovanni Bruno, the chef on board M/Y Tranquility, and she is an absolute showstopper! When it comes to vehicles, I explore the Aston Martin DBX707 and Maserati’s new GrandTourismo, two of my favourite premium brands.

Edition 6 also welcomes a brand new writer and contributor, Melanie Faldo, who has a background in the entertainment and celebrity space, something I know nothing about. In this edition, she shares her feedback on an event hosted by This is Icon during London Fashion Week, to which I was invited too. Brian May from the Queen and his wife, Lady Anita Dobson, as well as Matt Goss, Charlie Mullins, Nick Knowles, and our very own Lisa Palmer attended. It was a superb night supporting the PROST8 charity.

I probably should stop there before I give away any more clues to the rest of the magazine. So have fun with this edition, and I’ll see you next time, fingers crossed that the weather has warmed up a little by then.
