IT IS rare for a landing net to come supplied with a handle and it is usually an item that will have to be purchased separately. The first factor to consider when purchasing a handle is its length. The majority of pleasure/match handles range between 2m and 4m. If you mainly fish with a pole you’ll probably want a handle at the longer end of this range because the less shipping in of your pole you have to do will make landing fish quicker and easier. You should also look at how many sections a handle consists of. The handles we’ve looked at this month range from two and four pieces. Some will have multiple screw thread sections so the handle can be fished at various lengths.
