THANKS for purchasing this issue of IYCF. I hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year. Scrolling through social media it would appear that a lot of people have made angling-based New Year resolutions, whether it being simply to do more fishing, or breaking a particular personal best. If you’re struggling for ideas of what to fish for this year make sure you check out our Experts’ Year Plan feature which starts on page 63. Each month is dedicated to a particular species with tactics from one the country’s best anglers. From pike in winter to crucians in spring and rudd and tench in the summer, we’ve put together a fantastic mix to ensure you have a fish-filled year. It would be great to hear from you as the year progresses if you’ve used the methods detailed in the feature and how you’ve got on in terms of catches. I’d also like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you for all of your support last year which helped to make IYCF the best-selling monthly fishing magazine on the market. We’ve got some great plans for the year ahead but, of course, we always want to hear from you, the readers. We always aim to cover a range of different angling disciplines every month and deliver a strong spread of tactics and venues, but if there are certain anglers you’d like to see more of, particular tactics covered or if you know of a venue that you think would make a great feature, then please get in touch. Here’s to a great 2019 full of fishing adventures.
