Choose a margin swim with lots of cover and shade as the tench will continue to feed in the sunniest of conditions

Use a balanced set- up when you are fishing close to snags and lily pads etc

Invest in a good rake for clearing your swim

Use a float adapter so you can quickly change floats to suit the conditions. In really bright conditions use a black marker to totally black out the fluorescent sight tip

If sport dries up remember to bait up and rest your swim. The tench should regroup and start feeding confidently again
