BARGING THROUGH

I've been going to my local canal and tonight's session prompted this letter. I have pulled more plastic bottles ( 13 in total) out of the water than I did fish. I'm guessing these were thrown off boats/ barges because prior to them being allowed back on the canals there were none. So come on boaters take your rubbish home.

Also, some barges slow right down whereas others are going so fast I was looking for the skier behind them! When I asked them to slow down I was met with a tirade of abuse. Surely, they have to abide by rules and regulations?!
