Orange is the new red

A warm­ing glass of red might have been our choice of win­ter tip­ple in the past, but now we have a new in­trigu­ing op­tion on the wine list. Wel­come to orange wine; a sunny-hued bev­er­age pro­duced when the esh from white grapes is left in con­tact with the skins of the grape dur­ing wine pro­duc­tion. The re­sult is a fruity yet avour­some vino that is strong enough to pair with avour­some win­ter dishes, such as roast din­ners or hearty stews. It could even of­fer health bene ts be­yond your usual glass of red, as it con­tains a healthy dose of vi­ta­min C, along with higher lev­els of an­tiox­i­dants and avonoids.
