Breakfast tea

In the Moment - - Good News -

You probably enjoy your morning cuppa in a mug, but the latest breakfast trend might convince you to shake up your wake-up routine. Turns out, infusing your oats with tea is the perfect way to add new avour to this breakfast staple, especially as there are myriad teas to choose from. Chamomile is said to have a calming effect; the bergamot in Earl Grey may help to soothe anxious thoughts and oral echinacea could boost your immune system – ideal for cold winter days. Whichever tea suits your taste, here’s a simple recipe to follow:

You will need:

* 2 teabags of your choice

* 40g ( cup) porridge oats * 250ml (1 cup) milk of your choice

1. Add the milk to a medium-sized

saucepan and bring to a boil.

2. Add the teabags and steep for

3-5 minutes, to taste.

3. Remove the teabags and add the porridge oats. Bring back to the boil and simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring continuously until cooked. Enjoy!
