School Philosophy: Halliford is a school based on strong family values where we know and respect every student as an individual. We encourage and support Hallifordians to flourish and become the best version of themselves that they can possibly be. We aim for excellence by being academically ambitious but at the same time academically sensitive. We inspire Hallifordians within a community that is founded on high-quality teaching and learning, outstanding pastoral care and first-class sporting, cultural and co-curricular opportunities. Academic Record: At Halliford School, we want to equip our students with the academic, social and technological skills they will need to succeed in the 21st century. We recognise that our world is being shaped by factors such as science, technology, globalisation and geopolitics. To navigate a successful path, they will need to be able to think critically, be confident with technology, be able to relate to and work with people across the global arena and be willing to harness and develop new ideas. In nurturing these attributes, we believe we are preparing our students as best we can for higher education, work and the world of the future. The vast majority of students at Halliford School proceed to study at their first-choice university in the UK. We are equally proud of the students who achieve straight A*s at A-level and go on to study at Oxford or Cambridge or a Russell Group university as we are of those who pursue more vocational routes on leaving school.
Co-curricular: At Halliford School, we pride ourselves on our co-curricular o ering, with an extensive range of clubs and activities running each week.
This, alongside our teaching, enables students to become the best version of themselves that they can possibly be. Co-curricular activities and sport play a significant role in the life of each student and of the School as a whole.
Notable Achievements and Alumni: Old Hallifordians include actor Mark Lester; Olympic Gold medalist Steve Trapmore (rowing); Olympians Toby Penty (badminton) and James Woodgate (archery); Paralympic rower Oliver Stanhope; rugby player Rhodri Williams and Horticulturalist Colin Squire OBE.
