ENTRANCE PROCEDURE: Entry into Nursery is non-selective, according to date of registrati­on and visit to the School. Entry into all other year groups is by assessment. Limited assisted places are available for entry into Year 3 at 7+.

School Philosophy: We are committed to the academic and all-round developmen­t of every child in the School. To achieve this, we work together to provide a learning environmen­t characteri­sed by: high aspiration­s; a broad, balanced and well-resourced curriculum; responsive­ness to each individual’s talents and needs.

Academic Record: Results 2021-2022: 98% of pupils who took entry tests to independen­t schools received firm o ers of places at one or more of these schools. 13 pupils were o ered a total of 29 awards. 2 places were accepted at local grammar schools.

Extra-curricular: The School o ers a wide range of more than 40 weekly cocurricul­ar activities before and after school, for children from Year 2. A variety of sports and music activities are complement­ed by various recreation­al activities, such as chess, sewing, mindfulnes­s, coding, cooking, craft, board games, cadets, mathletics and much more. Children can also participat­e in House competitio­ns, Eco-Committee, Charity Committee and School Council.

Facilities: Set in eight acres of leafy grounds, St Aubyn’s has outstandin­g facilities to complement the excellent educationa­l provision in all areas. The purpose-built Nursery and new Dining Hall were completed in 2017. Most recently, the Senior School facilities, including the Science Laboratory were refurbishe­d and the extension to the Performing Arts Centre was completed.
