Paul is the Tanaka twins’ dad!

There’s a huge shock in store for Tanaka twins Leo and David this week, when they discover that their dad is none other than Paul Robinson!

It’s a particular shock for Leo, given that he’s enjoying a romantic getaway with Paul’s daughter Amy when he discovers the truth…

“Leo is fed up and asks

Amy to go away with him to a friend’s beach house,” explains Tim Kano, who plays Leo. “They finally get to be alone and reveal their feelings for one another. But Paul arrives just in the nick of time – and his news is a heartbreaking moment for both of them.”

Viewers know that it was the Tanakas’ search for their father that brought them to Erinsborough in the first place. With their mother still refusing to tell them the truth, frustrated Leo skips town with Amy – so when the penny finally drops for both Paul and David, they know they have to get to the lovebirds before it’s too late.

“It’s a huge step for Leo to invite Amy away with him and let down his guard,” admits Tim. “So having this kind of bombshell dropped on him when he’s just found an amazing soulmate is stunning.

“It’s revealed that their mum didn’t know for sure that Paul was their dad, though they did have a fling back in the day,” adds the star. “There are even some flashbacks to the 80s!”

Tim has known about this exciting twist from the start, and admits that keeping it under wraps was tough.

“It’s been a huge thing to have to keep secret,” confirms the actor. “I can’t wait to see what the audience reaction is!”
