Why does Aaron rebuff David?
We’ve been desperate for Erinsborough’s David to come out of the closet and admit his feelings for Aaron – so we’re delighted to hear that the pair lock lips this week! But as Matt Wilson tells us, the snog takes his alter ego Aaron by surprise…
It doesn’t look from these pictures as though Aaron’s too happy about the kiss! We thought he liked David.
He does, but Aaron isn’t expecting it – his mind is elsewhere at the time, as he’s thinking about his ex-boyfriend Nate. So he’s nowhere near the same zone as David is when he makes his move.
How does David react in the wake of Aaron’s rejection?
He’s made an absolute fool of himself, so he runs for the hills! That is a very David thing to do, and true to his character in every way. They are pretty much opposites – Aaron will always stand and fight, whereas David always chooses f light.
Would you personally like to see the two of them get together?
Yes, I think that would be good. I’m enjoying playing this relationship, and I do think it’s meaningful. One of my best friends is going through the exact same thing as David – he has just come out to his family and friends. So I think it’s important to send out the message to people that they are not alone.
Are Neighbours fans backing David and Aaron?
Yes, they are! I get lots of feedback on Twitter, so a quick thank you to everyone for that. It’s good to know that people are eager for the relationship to happen just as much as us actors are.
What else is coming up for Aaron on Ramsay Street?
Loads of good stuff! We’re just filming a milestone for him – he’s moving on in his career, he’s got some new friendships and things are looking very positive. So it’s safe to say that Aaron has a win on the horizon…
