Yet more Carter chaos at the Vic!

AS A SAUCY NIGHT GOES DOWN A STORM, THINGS AREN’T SO MUCH FUN BEHIND THE BAR…

- Sarah Ellis

The Carter clan are still on the verge of losing everything…”

Woody’s idea for a ladies’ night at the Queen Vic has the punters flocking in this week, and soon the sound of saucy hijinks fills the air – as well as the sound of ringing tills! But it seems it’s too little, too late when it comes to the future of the troubled boozer…

With Mick and Linda still away from Walford, new bar manager Woody has been doing a stellar job of keeping things afloat. However, now Shirl is back and ready to make some major decisions about the family’s future, can she be trusted to do what’s best?

“Shirley went through hell in prison, but most of all she was devastated she couldn’t be there for her family when they needed her most,” reveals our Square insider. “So now she’s home, she’s determined to step up – although with money troubles coming at her left, right and centre, it’s no easy feat.”

Luckily for Shirl, she has a great right-hand man in the shape of newcomer Woody, who’s proving to be exactly what the Vic needs right now. He can see that the endless ideas for theme nights are just not enough to pull in the punters, so decides to go back to basics – with a good oldfashioned ladies’ night. And when some topless hunks arrive, the women of Walford – including Sharon and Jane – have a right giggle, and the evening goes down a storm.

But the Carter clan’s money worries run much deeper. Some major changes are clearly needed if the business stands any chance of surviving – so when Shirley makes a stunning announcement to the rest of the family, they’re gobsmacked by what she has planned…

As Whitney, Johnny and

Tina try their best to talk

Shirley out of her decision, can they persuade her that her drastic idea is a step too far?

“It’s heartbreaking to see that after all their hard work, the Carters are still on the verge of losing everything,” laments our spy. “But Shirley’s the only one who’s being realistic about their future. It’s

about time somebody faced up to the cold, hard facts.”

However, as Shirley takes the bull by the horns, will Mick and Linda be on board with the decision that she’s made?
