Toyah goes behind Peter’s back
STILL DESPERATE TO CONCEIVE, SHE’S DISHONEST WITH PETER…
Toyah refuses to put her IVF plans on hold this week – and goes behind boyfriend Peter’s back to take the treatment to the next stage.
Along with most of his clan, Peter is in the frame for the attack on Ken – as well as being under police scrutiny in the wake of stalker Chloe’s accusations of assault. But despite the drama, Toyah is still keen to get pregnant – and her sister Leanne is stunned as she reveals that she’s gone ahead with embryo implantation without telling Peter…
“It’ll take more than her boyfriend being accused of attempted murder to stop Toyah in her tracks!” laughs our insider. “She’s determined to have a baby, and was delighted that she and Peter had got so far down the line with the IVF. Time is of the essence, though. They don’t know how long the investigation will take, and Toyah won’t delay her dream of being a mother a moment longer.”
When Toyah left her husband Toby, her baby plans seemed to have been scuppered. But once she came clean to Peter about her pregnancy struggles and he agreed they could give it a go, Toyah was delighted. Ironically, it was crazy Chloe’s cash that paid for the IVF treatment – and just as the couple got to a crucial stage, all hell broke loose.
“Toyah has only recently found out Peter and Chloe shared a kiss – but not even that prompted her to think twice,” says our spy. “Peter’s world is crumbling, but Toyah’s focus doesn’t waver – she clearly reckons that whatever pans out for her boyfriend, she’s capable of coping alone.”
Toyah is cuddling her baby nephew Oli when she breaks the news about the embryos to puzzled Leanne. But as she struggles to explain the reasoning behind her actions, has she truly thought about the consequences of it all?
“Of course, Toyah’s main concern at this point is that the implantation is a success and she ends up pregnant,” shares our informant. “But it’s complicated by the fact that Peter has no idea what she’s done. He’s the one who took a chance with Chloe – giving her cab rides and accepting big tips even though he knew she liked him – in order to keep raking in cash to pay for the IVF. So it’s not unreasonable that he wants to concentrate on clearing his name before he and Toyah might conceive.
“The question is: can Leanne convince Toyah to come clean ASAP, or is she happy to keep Peter in the dark till she knows whether she’s expecting?”
