Drunken Adam makes a terrible mistake this week – when he cheats on Victoria with former fling Vanessa!
As the Barton marriage founders in the wake of their news from the fertility clinic, Adam turns to the bottle – and Victoria is furious with her husband for behaving so badly after learning they face an uphill battle to have a child.
Following a series of rows, she decides that the marriage is over, and hands Adam his possessions. She really believes that he isn’t interested in fighting for a future together – and Adam is unable to explain how much pain he’s in and why he’s making such a mess of the situation…
“Victoria has no patience for Adam’s ridiculous behaviour,” says our Dales spy. “They’ve both been knocked sideways by the bad news, but that doesn’t give him the right to lash out like this. What Victoria needs now is a supportive and loving partner willing to talk about difficult decisions. Adam can’t seem to get himself together, and it’s just not good enough.”
So, after Victoria calls time on their marriage, the tormented lad finds himself pouring out his heart to Vanessa.
“There was a time when Adam thought he was the father of Vanessa’s son, Johnny, so he has a strong bond with her,” explains our snitch. “She knows what he went through in discovering that the baby was actually Kirin’s, and how desperately he wants to be a dad. To take his mind off things, they have a drinking and video gaming session. The problem is, their inhibitions are lowered as the booze flows, and one thing leads to another.”

Vanessa. The two of them are mortified that they’ve ended up in yet another passionate encounter, especially when he’s married to Victoria.
Vanessa is horrified at the thought of hurting her young friend Vic, who was so patient and good to her during the whole debacle over Johnny’s paternity. Meanwhile, Adam fears he might have destroyed any prospect of a reunion thanks to one drunken decision. And soon their worst fears are ignited after Victoria spots the pair in a tense conversation and starts asking questions.
Will she rumble them, or will Adam be able to keep his massive mistake a secret?
