Ste is sentenced…

HARRY KICKS UP A FUSS AT STE’S SENTENCING…

- Laura Heffernan

Ste’s loved ones wait with bated breath as he prepares to deliver his plea this week – but his fiancé Harry takes action in court that he hopes will free his hubby-to-be!

The prime suspect isn’t the most reliable of witnesses, and has only been able to offer a very hazy account of the night of Amy’s murder due to his blackouts. Eventually he confessed to killing the mother of his children, and although the rest of the village have accepted his claim at face value, Harry is certain that Ste is mistaken. So as his partner stands up to be sentenced, the teen follows his instincts and tries to hinder proceedings…

“Harry has discovered something – I can’t say what that it is, but it means that he needs to delay Ste’s plea,” explains Parry Glasspool, who plays Harry. “He pulls it off by the skin of his teeth, and he does it in a way that I thought was so hilariously soap! It’s a tense affair, though he finds a way to get through and talk to Ste. I can’t say more than that!”

Harry has been burdened with plenty of Ste’s problems since their relationship began – but he has taken everything on the chin, and not even a murder sentence is enough to dampen the lad’s love. Sadly, his affection is bordering on obsession – and while Harry has been spending every waking moment trying to prove that Ste is innocent, he’s been neglecting his studies and his grades are suffering as a result.

“Tony finds out that Harry is failing university, and really doesn’t like how distracted his son is,” reveals Parry. “He understands and is empathetic to the fact that Harry’s fiancé is in prison – but because Harry is visiting Ste every day and always researching around the case, he’s not getting any coursework done. Tony decides that enough is enough, and persuades Ste to dump Harry so he can get on with his life.”

Try as he might, though, Ste’s tough love doesn’t have the desired effect, and leaves Harry even more determined to save his beloved’s skin.

up solicitor James the wrong way, and Ryan has to warn him to back off. Nevertheless, Harry decides to broaden the search, and plasters posters of Ste around the village in the hope that it will encourage people to come forward with information. He’s left furious, however, when an anonymous individual takes down all his handiwork! Who would want to sabotage Harry’s efforts?

“He thinks Ryan might be involved,” shares Parry. “He’s also relying on James for help, though forgets that he actually can’t stand Ste! Plus, there are a lot of people who could have killed Amy and Harry suspects all of them except Ste! I don’t think he can imagine a world where his fiancé is a killer. He blames everyone else, and won’t stop till he gets Ste out…”
