Lawrence: will he be shot again?!

AS HE CONFRONTS CHRISSIE’S UNCLE, WILL HISTORY REPEAT ITSELF?

- Kate White

Lawrence tries to destroy Chrissie’s attempts to connect with her biological dad this week – by threatening her uncle, Tim. But he soon finds himself staring down the barrel of a shotgun!

As Chrissie closes in on the truth about her parentage, Lawrence is on a mission to stop her, convinced that he is the only one she needs. He’s terrified that if Chrissie meets her father, he’ll lose her – but Lawrence’s twisted actions can only lead to trouble…

“The problem with Lawrence is that he’s always doing the wrong thing for the right reasons,” insists John Bowe, who plays the determined patriarch. “He’s trying to protect his family and his relationship with Chrissie. He managed to intercept a letter from Tim to Chrissie, so he thinks he’s stemmed the flow of blood and stopped any infiltration into the Whites.”

There must be some very interesting characters in Chrissie’s paternal family, because Lawrence is convinced they’ll bring nothing but pain to his own clan. When he begins to fear that Tim will follow up his letter with a visit, Lawrence decides to put a stop to it – and takes a burly lackey with him to call on Tim.

“This is Lawrence’s way – he uses a sledgehammer to crack a nut!” laughs John. “Perhaps he’s not thinking it through, but he goes off with one of his heavies, reasoning that he’ll be able to scare Tim. He tells him to back off and leave the Whites alone.”

If Lawrence thought he’d settled the matter, he’s in for a nasty shock when Tim turns up at Home Farm the next day. He approaches Lawrence

“Lawrence is scared now,” reveals John. “This is a sudden escalation in the situation, and

Tim is on the premises! Lawrence is terrified that Tim just won’t get the message and go away.

“Lawrence has a heart of gold, but he’s a conflicting character because he’ll also do the most appalling things to achieve what he believes is the right result. There are secrets regarding Chrissie’s father and Tim that could be unearthed – and Lawrence will do anything to make sure that they stay buried.”

However, as he finds himself on the wrong end of Tim’s gun, are Lawrence’s schemes already dead in the water?
