Furious Jenny confronts Johnny
SHE’S TRYING TO GET OVER JOHNNY…
Jilted Jenny agrees to a date with factory client Matthew Singh this week – but does her heart still lie with her former fiancé Johnny?
Jenny is hurt when the factory girls receive wedding invitations for her cancelled nuptials, and she hopes it might be a sign that Johnny wants her back – though he soon admits that he simply forgot to cancel the order.
Not one to let the grass grow, businessman Matthew decides to make a move on Jenny, and invites her out for a drink. She turns him down at first, but he puts his number on her phone anyway – and later Jenny chooses to go for it.
What she doesn’t realise is that Johnny still loves her, and only cancelled their wedding due to his MS diagnosis. He’s in turmoil, and after discovering that Jenny is being wooed by Matthew, Johnny drowns his sorrows in the Rovers. Landlady Liz realises the depth of his pain, and invites Johnny into the back room to talk it over – but sadly for them, Jenny’s BFF Gemma spots them and thinks something is going on!
She calls Jenny, who abandons Matthew middate at the Bistro to storm into the pub and confront Johnny over cheating on her with Liz. It’s an ugly moment as harsh words are exchanged before Jenny rushes back to the Bistro. Chasing after her to explain, Johnny can’t contain his anger when he sees his client wining and dining the woman he loves – and makes the sort of scene that will have the cobbles gossip mill churning for weeks.
Can Jenny find a way to forgive him for his secrets, lies and outburst?
