ROBERT IS DESPERATE TO SAVE THE MAN HE LOVES…
Horrified Robert goes all out to save Aaron this week – as the troubled Dingle lad prepares to take on nemesis Jason in the boxing ring.
Terrified that Aaron will be badly hurt, Robert is hell-bent on putting a stop to the grudge match before the first punch is thrown. He begs Aaron’s Uncle Cain to join him in his efforts to sabotage the fight – but nevertheless finds himself alone on his mission. Will Aaron ignore all reason and take on Jason anyway?
“It’s not often that Robert is a force for good, but he’s right to try to protect Aaron,” shares our Dales insider. “This fight is all about settling scores from his traumatic time behind bars, where Jason attacked him and got him hooked on hard drugs. What Aaron needs to do is walk away and put Jason in the past, so he can move forward in his life. But his need for revenge is so strong that Aaron can’t say no.”
Everyone around him fears that Aaron is taking his boxing training too far. Given his history of self-harming, and the way he’s made himself desperately ill with exercise in the past, Aaron needs to slow down. But his heartache at his split with Robert, Rebecca’s unborn baby and his issues with drugs have left him vulnerable. As usual, he channels all his pain into self-loathing, and everyone can see that he’s deeply unhappy. But only Robert seems willing to go out on

“Robert thinks money is the answer,” says our spy. “He assumes that Jason will have a price, and that if Robert pays it, he’ll walk away from the fight. It’s a hell of a gamble, because if Aaron discovered that Robert had gone behind his back to bribe Jason, he’d go mad. But Robert thinks it’s worth the risk if it means Aaron won’t step into the ring and fight.”
Unfortunately, the truth comes out despite Robert’s best efforts – and it only spurs Aaron into being more determined to take on Jason. As the two men square up to each other, it’s clear things are going to get vicious, and even boxing veteran Zak fears for his young contender. Jason has proved time and again that he’ll do all sorts of terrible things to strike fear into the hearts of his victims, and he’s looking forward to schooling
