Robyn’s terror!

THE NURSE AND HER BABY ARE TRAPPED IN A HOUSE FIRE…

- Sarah Ellis

Robyn and her baby daughter Charlotte are caught in an inferno this week, after someone throws a firebomb through the front window of their house!

It’s a horrifying situation for anyone to be in, but all Robyn cares about is getting her little girl to safety. However, when her housemate Jez races in to rescue them and Robyn pleads with him to take Charlotte first, the paramedic freezes…

“Jez runs straight into the fire without thinking, though it brings up some really terrible memories for him,” explains our ED informant. “Just a few weeks ago he was called out to a similar house fire, and nobody realised there was a baby sleeping inside. Jez went back to rescue the infant, but sadly she died – and now the same thing seems to be happening in his own home.”

Just moments before the blaze breaks out, Jez waves goodbye to his boyfriend Mickey, then goes to his room for a lie-down. However, after he hears Robyn’s terrified screams, he realises there is something seriously wrong – and races downstairs to find the living room in flames!

Jez doesn’t even hesitate as he runs into the fire to grab Robyn – but when he suffers flashbacks to the last time he was in a burning building, he’s suddenly rooted to the spot in terror. Fortunately, the pair’s housemate Max arrives home in the nick of time, and grabs baby Charlotte from Robyn’s

arms – while Jez finally springs into action to drag Robyn outside to safety.

With mother and baby both out of harm’s way, there’s an agonising moment for panic-stricken Robyn when she realises Charlotte isn’t crying. Quickthinking Jez manages to get the little one breathing again – but has there been any lasting damage?

“Those few moments that Jez hesitated could prove to be the difference between life and death for Charlotte,” admits our snoop. “It’s clear that the baby has inhaled a lot of smoke, and Robyn knows that she needs to get her properly checked out at the ED. Even though she’s suffered burns of her own, she refuses to leave her baby’s side until she knows everything is okay.”

As Robyn’s colleagues set to work on stabilising Charlotte, could stunned Jez have the death of another baby weighing on his conscience? And an even bigger question remains: who is behind the terrifying inferno?
