What do you mean you’re NOT watching...

HIGH ART IT CERTAINLY AIN’T, but we do find ourselves really looking forward to watching this gladiatorial game show every week. Despite our initial concerns, we’ve consulted some classics scholars and discovered that the challenges the contestants are put through are more historically accurate than you might think – which makes us feel better about watching. However, we’re obviously not here for a history lesson: the appeal comes from the (mostly) friendly rivalries between the couples, who know that the whole thing is completely daft but still really want to win.
