Linda finally tells Mick everything
AND SHE’S WORRIED THE CANCER IS BACK…
There’s an almighty upset at the Vic this week, when Mick finally discovers that Linda had cancer.
The shock comes just as it seems the couple are back on track, and closer than ever after their recent troubles. But as Linda starts behaving oddly again, Mick demands answers. And when he finds out Linda has kept her cancer ordeal from him, his world falls apart.
“Mick is absolutely gutted,” says our Eastenders insider. “It’s bad enough that Linda could be ill, but to find out she’s already fought a cancer battle without telling him is devastating. To think that his wife couldn’t trust him to be there to support her and help her through something that huge is horrendous.”
Worse still, Linda’s confidant and close pal Woody is the one who has been there for her. He’s deeply concerned after he notices she’s in pain, and Linda is terrified as she explains that her symptoms are the same as when she was diagnosed with cancer before. Woody pleads with Linda to come clean to Mick, but she’s adamant that she doesn’t want to wreck their new-found domestic bliss. However, as the hospital informs Linda that there’s a five-week wait for an appointment, she’s plunged into despair.
