HE’S GOT THE SCOOP ON PHELAN – BUT WHAT WILL IT COST HIM?
Intrepid reporter Daniel Barlow clinches a key contact in his Phelan story this week – but it may lead to serious trouble!
His flirtatious relationship with editor Cindy lands him in bother when her jealous hubby, Ross – who’s been tipped off by scheming Phelan – walks in on them at the Bistro. The irate fella goes for Daniel, but a punch in the face could be the least of the bloke’s worries.
Daniel has discovered a lady called Mrs Mcardle, who lives in a care home and has an interesting connection to Pat and his failed development scam. So far, Phelan has been able to ride the waves of fury from his neighbours about the money lost when his co-conspirator Vinny legged it with all the cash. But Daniel rightly assumes that Phelan was no innocent party in the whole affair, and he’s digging deep to try to discover what happened.
Since Phelan knows that Daniel is asking questions, he’s been keeping a close eye on him. So when he follows Daniel to the nursing home where Mrs Mcardle lives, and Daniel presents her with a birthday cake,
Pat is keen to see why the fella’s trail has led him here.
What Daniel doesn’t realise is that the last person who rumbled Phelan’s development scam is now dead. Michael Rodwell had all the evidence to bring down Pat, but failed at the final hurdle when his heart condition killed him. Given that Phelan was willing to murder Michael to buy his silence, Daniel should tread carefully…
