BUT WILL THE TRUTH ABOUT THE CHILD’S FATHER COME OUT?
Abi’s shock pregnancy is revealed to her stunned housemates Ben and Jay this week – while her sister Lauren remains in the dark.
Having spent the past few weeks at their mum Tanya’s place, the Branning sisters return to Walford together, but are no closer to mending their relationship. Lauren has no idea that her sister was madly in love with her fiancé Steven, and is now carrying his baby – and Abi hopes she can keep it a secret for a lot longer…
“Abi is sick to death of Lauren, and everything being about her,” sneers our Albert Square spy. “All Abi wanted to do was escape Lauren and spend some quality time with her mum, but she even had to share Tanya with her sister. Part of Abi quite enjoys having this baby secret that Lauren knows nothing about, but she realises that when the truth does come out, all hell will break loose. And there’s no way that she can keep this child hidden forever.”
Luckily for her, Abi has a confidante in other housemate Donna, who is horrified by her friend’s antics. She has seen how real and deep Abi’s grief for Steven is, and she knows that losing him has devastated

her. But she’s keen for Abi to at least be honest with Lauren about being pregnant, because she hopes it might help the sisters get closer and start building bridges.
It looks as if Abi will have no choice – when Lauren tells her that she and Louie need to stay at her place. Abi can’t believe she’s going to be stuck with her sister again, and is desperate to find a way to get rid of her. She’s also worried that when Ben and Jay discover she has a baby on the way, they’ll want her to move on, too. However, she doesn’t bank on Donna staging an intervention!
“Donna won’t let Abi keep torturing herself,” vows our snitch. “She tells the boys pointblank about Abi’s bun in the oven, and it’s a tense moment.”
