The BIG DEBATE!

-

What a glorious moment when the penny dropped for Eileen in Corrie, and she finally realised that her hubby Phelan is a wrong’un! But sadly she let the chance to put him behind bars slip away… No, no, no! How could Eileen just let Pat get away with his crimes, as if nothing had happened? Imagine how awful she’s going to feel when she finds out the true extent of what he’s done – that as well as ripping off all their neighbours, he murdered Luke, Andy and Vinny.

I was very disappointed that Eileen didn’t end up shopping Pat to the police – but I really wasn’t surprised. Not only is Pat a complete charmer who can talk his way out of anything, but poor Eileen is now so isolated without her sons around. She desperately wants to see the best in Pat.

| Kathy, Hartlepool But some of you are more disappointed Phelan didn’t meet an ultimely end when he fell into that concrete… A grave of cement with his victims would have been too good for murderer Pat Phelan! But still, I was wishing for him to sink and use up the last of his nine lives. It’s not as if any of the other cobbles residents are taking up police time at the moment, so why aren’t they on the case?

As a builder by trade, I had to write and complain about this week’s Coronation Street. There’s no way a cement lorry would have been left unattended on the site overnight like that – and don’t even get me started on how watery that cement was. You’d never be able to hide a body in something so thin!

Sounds as if you’re speaking from experience, Ted…

“Okay Timmy, just for you I’ll say it. I ripped ’em off. Calcutta Street was a scam. What difference does it make, eh? You and everybody else can shout it from the rooftops all you like. But nobody’s coming for me, Tim. Nobody’s coming for me.”
