Bethany busts Billy visiting Josh
SHE FOLLOWS HIM TO THE HOSPITAL – AND FINDS OUT THAT HE’S BEEN VISITING JOSH…
Bethany discovers a secret about Billy that she knows will devastate her Uncle David this week – but when she’s put on the spot, will she be able to bring herself to tell him?
Stunned Bethany stumbles across the bombshell entirely by accident, as she’s initially worried about Billy’s well-being. She notices the former addict giving money to homeless Frank, and Bethany fears it could indicate
Billy is taking drugs again. She follows the vicar from a distance, to see if her fears will be confirmed, though ends up finding out something else entirely! “Bethany is motivated by genuine concern, and trails Billy all the way to Weatherfield General,” reveals our Corrie spy. “She’s baffled as to why he’s going there, but all becomes clear when she follows him into the ward and sees that he’s visiting Josh Tucker – the man who raped David! Bethany is disgusted to come face to face with Josh, and even more appalled to think that
Billy is showing him any kindness – she can’t understand it…”
Billy begs the teenager to let him explain his actions – and he tries to tell her how he feels responsible for the terrible beating that Josh suffered at the hands of Ethan Corrin. The priest attempts to justify himself by saying that as a man of God, he has a duty to try to help Josh atone for his sins. He also thinks he can convince the rapist to become a better man.

David’s feelings? She accuses Billy of betraying David’s trust, and refuses to listen to anything else that he has to say.”
Bethany angrily heads home to break the news to her uncle – but when she arrives back on the Street, she walks in to see David happily playing with little Max. Can she find a way to break the awful truth?
“She was all fired up to do the right thing, yet the words die in her mouth,” sighs our informant. “She knows how much this information will upset David, and she can’t bring herself to spoil his day. So instead, she tells Billy that she’ll keep her mouth shut as long as he agrees to stop visiting Josh.”
Will conflicted Billy agree to Bethany’s demands, or will his conscience not allow him to abandon Josh, regardless of his crimes? And how will David react if Billy’s secret comes out at a later stage – especially if he learns that Bethany knew too, but kept silent?
