Victoria is finally forced to face her feelings for Matty this week, after being asked out on a date by another bloke. But as she moves in to kiss her best mate, are Victoria and Matty about to make a go of things?
When she’s initially asked on a date by Ellis – who turns out to be the son of Marlon’s girlfriend Jessie – Victoria is encouraged by Matty to give it a chance. Yet after he ends up defending her honour as flirty charmer Ellis reveals his true colours, Matty and Victoria look set to snog…
“Matty is all breezy and supportive when he discovers that Victoria’s been asked out by this guy Ellis,” shares our Emmerdale spy. “Though as she and her date turn up in the Woolpack, you can see that Matty isn’t too comfortable with the situation after all.
“Once he spots Ellis flirting with other girls in the pub behind Vic’s back, Matty wades straight in to defend his mate – and the two blokes end up coming to blows!”
Punches fly as unrepentant Ellis mocks Matty’s protection of Victoria, and it’s down to Matty’s mum Moira to drag the fiery fellas apart. But then Moira and Matty end up having a row as well – when Moira refers to her son in the wrong gender. Furious, Matty decides to move out of Butlers Farm and in with Victoria – but it looks as if the close pals will be a lot more than housemates before too long…
“The two of them have been avoiding the chemistry between them ever since Matty returned to the village,” says our sneak. “Neither has been truly honest to the other or themselves about the nature of their closeness. So when Victoria grabs the bull by the horns and goes to kiss Matty, it’s long overdue!”
Will Vic’s brave move mean romance is finally about to blossom for her and Matty – or are they just not meant to be?
