Horror on the Jude Street as at lashes out his mum!
The Street is to be rocked by domestic violence this autumn when Jude snaps and lashes out at his mother, Mary!
Reports claim that the Weatherfield favourite will confront her son after she finds out that he has been lying again. But as the pair start to argue, a shocking altercation unfolds…
“When Jude is exposed as a pathological liar, Mary challenges him and tries to get to the bottom of why he does it,” whispers our Corrie source. “As she tries to find out some answers, he gets physical with her and leaves her feeling absolutely petrified.”
Compulsive fibber Jude came unstuck after his wife Angie learned that he had fabricated his entire career. Since then the desperate fella has been pulling out all the stops to win her back – even arranging a ceremony for the couple to renew their wedding vows, that poor
Angie knew nothing about!
However, it was the events that followed the sham service that really sealed Jude’s reputation for telling fibs, when he let the entire community believe that he had saved Roy’s life. But while Jude uses his pretend heroics to worm his way back into Angie’s affections, it’ll be Mary who eventually sees his true colours…
“Mary will confide in Roy about how scared she is of Jude, fearing that he has inherited his father’s violent streak,” reveals our sneak. “Roy tries to support her and insists that she comes clean about what Jude is really capable of, for all their sakes.”
However, with Mary having finally established a relationship with her son after so many years apart, it remains to be seen whether she will be bring herself to expose his behaviour.
Will Mary choose to suffer in silence? And if that should be her decision, does she risk making the biggest mistake of her life if Jude’s attack isn’t a one-off?
